Natural Eating for increased fat burning and better Health

I hope that got everyone's attention! I'm back with

the simplest, most effective way to not only burn that

fat off your body, but increase your over-all health!

After years of measuring results during the Commit to

Be Fit program, we noticed something very important.

The BEST results come from the most natural foods.

Meaning, the foods that are in the most natural and

whole state, just as nature created them.

Here's why: when you eat refined foods, anything that

has been processed by crushing, grinding, curing, etc.,

your body does not need to work as hard to break the

food down into life giving nutrients. In fact, it receives
too much fuel too quickly and regulates your metabolic rate down to store the excess as fat.

Let's look at the actual reason you are always hearing about watching your caloric intake.

Refined foods will have greater calories more easily available to your body. They usually contain multiple processed elements, such as fat from oils, sugar and carbohydrates. Refined foods have extremely high levels of "empty calories" that impact your blood sugar and metabolism. Also, most refined foods have very little fiber.

Natural eating, meaning to ONLY eat foods that are in their natural and complete state, will put you on the FAST TRACK to your fitness and fat burning goals.

Take it one day at a time and try to reduce or drop ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in your diet that is refined. Make sure to eat a balance of healthy fruits and vegetables. Steam veggies or saute' them in very small amounts of oil. Change all of your grain foods to whole grain and reduce the amount of "whole-grain" processed foods.

Examples to reduce or drop:
Sugar-all forms of refinement, especially HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!
Oils-fatty oils in foods, cooking, and meat.
   Grains-refined crackers, breads, cereals, etc.
Dairy (because it's not designed for our bodies, it's made for cows)
Sauces that are high in fat, sugars and oils.

If you are a coffee drinker, consider whether you are having a cup of coffee to "perk you up" or for the comfort of it. If you drink black coffee, then it's a perk, cream and sugar, or latte', most likely comfort with the added perk. Try to adjust your coffee intake or how you have your coffee. Black, reduced fat or fat-free creamer, sugar substitute, (not high on my list) tea, or explore new options.

Eat whole, natural foods like fruits for sugars and fibers, nuts for good fats and proteins, veggies for carbohydrates, proteins and fiber and lean meat, fish and poultry. If you still want eggs, better have the whites.

One more thing. I know it's candy season and the office, home, friends house, store, and kids all have candy or treats. Just remember what you have committed to and are working for!

Take care!
